Protecting transportation corridor mobility from the dangers of geohazards is mission critical work. This webinar will present geohazard mitigation case studies from earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods, with a brief discussion about how lessons learned from previous natural disasters relate to the current national emergency.

Colby has authored numerous papers on landslide mitigation and erosion control as well as Geosynthetically Confined Soil® technology and Launched Soil Nails. He also holds a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.
Colby is an active geotechnical researcher in soil nailing and confined soils and holds several patents in the field. He serves as a member of the Deep Foundations Institute Landslide/Slope Stabilization Committee and is Vice President of The Association of Geohazard Professionals. Colby has also been named as one of Engineering News-Record’s National Top 20 Under 40.
